General Counsel
Curtis H. Mistele serves as general counsel of the Michigan Alliances Group and provides full-service legal support for our clients. He is also a partner in Dean & Fulkerson, which was named one of the best law firms with expertise in the U.S. in 2023 by U.S. News & World Report.
Curtis has practiced law for more than 25 years and represents clients from a diverse range of industries including manufacturing, marketing, medical, insurance and non-profit organizations. He believes in a common-sense approach to finding practical solutions at a reasonable cost.
He works with our clients to set up corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships and other business entities. Along with guiding them through formation, he assists in drafting and maintaining bylaws, partnership agreements, buy-sell agreements, documentations, shareholder issues and board of director minutes.
Curtis’s experience is vast. He is an expert in dealing with business and transactional law, mergers and acquisitions, business and non-profit entities, corporate formation, governance, complex business agreements, contractual matters, confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements, and other documents, and counseling critical to the operation of a successful business.
He provides counseling on governance issues and routine and complex employment matters and helps clients safely navigate the laws, regulations and other legal obstacles businesses face. He also assists clients in real estate and property matters, and financing instruments.
In addition to drawing on his own knowledge and experience, Curtis can tap into his own firm for legal services as well as other law firms he has partnered with nationally and globally.
At Arcadia Alliances we are committed to helping those less fortunate and are pleased Curtis sits on the Judson Center Board of Trustees and is its secretary. Judson Center is a non-profit human service agency that provides compassionate, comprehensive services to children and families throughout southeast Michigan.
Curtis’s firm, Dean & Fulkerson, represents U.S. subsidiaries of European and Asian-based companies in areas of business law, employment and labor law, environmental law, immigration, municipal law, real estate development, and transportation and logistics law.
